Share
Looking for a game that’s simple to learn, exciting to play, and easy to set up anywhere? Disc It brings all the energy of frisbee with a fun new twist — perfect for camps, PE, family gatherings, or beach days.
Whether you're a teacher, coach, or just want to upgrade your backyard game rotation, this guide will show you how to set up and play Disc It in minutes.

What You Need to Play
- 2 Disc It goals (the lightweight, pop-up style is perfect for travel)
- 4 discs (2 per team)
- Open play area – grass, turf, gym floor, or even sand
- 4–10 players (2v2 is standard, but scale it up!)
Setup takes under 5 minutes. Place the two Disc It goals about 20 feet apart (or adjust based on space and skill level). Each team takes a side.
The Goal
Score points by:
- Throwing the disc into the target zone
- Landing a disc leaning against or touching the goal
- Causing a defender to drop a catchable disc
The first team to reach 21 points wins!
Basic Rules of Disc It
-
Take Turns Tossing
Teams alternate turns throwing one disc at a time toward the opposing goal. -
Defend the Goal
The receiving team’s defender can try to catch or deflect the disc — but no touching the goal itself! -
Scoring System
- 3 points – Disc lands inside the goal
- 2 points – Disc hits and stays touching the outer structure
- 1 point – Disc is dropped by a defender (if catchable)
- 0 points – Missed throws or clean catches
-
Rotation
After both teams throw their discs, switch roles. Keep playing until one team reaches 21.
No stepping in front of the goal or knocking it over to block shots!
Tips for First-Time Players
- Keep throws flat and level — it’s not about speed, it’s about aim
- Rotate players between throwing and defending to build skills
- Play to 11 for younger groups or quick recess rounds
- Use cones or chalk to mark a “throwing zone” for structure

Game Variations
- Trick Throw Round – Only creative or behind-the-back throws allowed
- Double Disc Mode – Both players throw at the same time
- Relay Style – Add running between throws for cardio-focused fun
- No-Talk Defense – Great for practicing non-verbal teamwork
These variations make Disc It super adaptable for different settings and skill levels.
Why Teachers and Camp Leaders Love Disc It
- Quick setup – No tools or complicated instructions
- Portable – Perfect for class transitions, gym bags, or car trunks
- Inclusive – All skill levels can jump in after a 2-minute demo
- Team-oriented – Builds communication, aim, and reaction time
Whether you’re looking to fill 15 minutes of PE time or create an all-day tournament, Disc It is one of those rare games that’s easy to run and hard to stop playing.
